RTC-Kansai University, Japan-Short term Co-Learning Programme

Through our established partnership with a range of international colleges/institutions, RTC signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Kansai University, Japan on short-term academic activities and exchange programme in November of 2017. The purpose of the programme is to develop academic cooperation and exchange of students and faculty among the two institutions.

 

The first batch of two professors and four students from Kansai University visited RTC from 24th February till 2nd March 2019 for 7 days. Our international institutional exchange programmes provide learners from around the world with a valuable cultural and academic experience and enhance their understanding of Bhutan and Bhutanese values.

The main objective or the theme of the programme was to learn about "Sustainable Local Development and Livelihood under the Age of SDGs". The programme encompassed classroom session and discussion, debate and community visit to Bjemina (Siluna & Lingzhiphakha), storytelling and series of guest lectures on GNH, Sustainability Technology and on Development Practice in Bhutan.

Four RTC students participated in the programme along with the students from Kansai University and they were all awarded certificate of participation at the end of the programme.

The group of 6 left the country on the morning of 3rd March.
